In 2014, we set out to do something unusual! We went against the grain and made the decision to transition from commercial and Purebred Simmental to Fullblood Simmentals. We have not looked back! We purchased our first Flecks that fall and have grown steadily since then. Fleckvieh cattle are a dual purpose breed in both beef quality and milk production. They are also known for hardiness both in warm and cold weather climates, as well as docility and fertility. Our goal has been to breed and develop powerful, well-structured cattle with a push toward polled genetics.
One of our desires is to have cattle that meet the need of the customer, whatever the need. We have diversified our herd and now breed quality Fleck, Fleck-Influenced, and Simbrah cattle. The evidence is clear. The Fleckvieh cross adds pounds and pounds equal dollars when taken to market.
